Elephone C1 gets a new back cover

We have seen the new budget Elephone C1 introduced back at the end of September and the phone can offer some decent specs for the money. 5,5-inch HD resolution display, quad-core MT6737 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, fingerprint scanner, metal body and Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the OS.

And now it’s getting one minor design upgrade in the form of a new back cover. This new matte texture metal cover is made using CNC machining, polishing, grinding, oxidation and laser engraving and should offer better grip and softer and delicate feel.

The new texture on the Elephone C1 should also be more resistant to the smudges, sweat and dust contact. And it should deal much better with scratches and general wear and tear too.

You can find more information here or eventually here.

Matte finish is always preferable. They could do this experiment earlier with the very first batch of Elephone C1. Because just glossiness is not enough these days, matte looks premium.

I agree about matte finishing. For sure glossy is really an eye catching, but lack in reliability and endurance tests.

Aha, nice try but in case of glossy back, blue was great colour but when it’s about matte finish, I think that no colour can beat black in matte.

Stay away from this brand they never bring updates out to fix their crappy software bugs.

I really liked this device for the offerings of good specifications in very low price. $ 109.99 is very low for this kind of specs no body can deny. But only one colour in matte type?

I think that is the best entry level, the screen HD is a good idea, in order to save battery drain!

Release a smartphone with 16 Gb of ROM is very poor on this period.

Smartphone actually complete to be an entry-level.
I don’t understand why it has become difficult, however, to find models that are smaller than 5.5 inches.

It’s a very promising model. I was looking for a video review, but apparently has not yet been sent to anyone!
