Xiaomi fans want to see a 99% display on Mi MIX 2

Fans of Xiaomi have been working their CAD programs over the past week to knock-out their dream designs for a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

The Mi Mix 2 grabbed the attention of the entire smartphone world with people from all walks of life and all around the world taking a minute to stop and appreciate the design of the phone when it launched.

In China the design has really struck a cord with fans who are now expectantly waiting for a 2nd generation release, and if Xiaomi aren’t sure what it should look like here are some renders.

Xiaomi fans in China are split on some of the aspects of the Xiaomi Mi Mi 2 design. Some want to see a dual camera design, there’s a design with a pop out front camera, and some like a new footprint for the design.

What they all agree on though is the phone should feature a 99% screen coverage across the front!

Other shared dream specs for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 include a 6.4-inch 2K display, MIUI 9 and a Snapdragon 835 chipset.

    The fun thing is that you might actually see phones like this in about a year.
    The displays are getting there,the display integrated fingerprint sensor is getting there.

    Would have been nice to have this in 2014-2015 but folks took a break.Now it’s a bit late as foldable displays must be introduced soon but it’s good to see that the stagnation in design is over.

    I find 5.5 inch screen more that enough, and that would make it the compact phone dream come true.

    But man it is like carrying a very fragile piece of glass.
    Once drop then you can say goodbye to your very expensive smartphone.

    Cracked screen will never included in the warranty and probably this one using a very special kind of screen so replacing this kind of special screen will cost you a bomb.
