Purported Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 leaked

A new, purported, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 model has shown up today, but is it the real deal>

Xiaomi’s Redmi range are the bread and butter phones for the Chinese handset maker, but while Redmi phones were originally just cost conscious budget devices we have seen significant changes in recent months.

Over the past year, Redmi phones have launched with increasingly better hardware from metal construction, fingerprint scanners and even dual rear cameras.

Today a new leaked Redmi model has been posted online and once again attempts to give top end smartphones a run for their money.

Gizchina News of the week

This device is named the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 and features metal chassis, but this time a single main camera. In place of the dual cameras on the original Redmi Pro, the Redmi Pro 2 has a Sony IMX362 with a 1/2.55” sensor and a 1.4µm pixel, there is also a Dual Pixel autofocus feature too!

Other changes include the move away from Mediatek to a Snapdragon 66- chipset. The phone also has a larger 4500mAh battery but retains a 5.5-inch FHD display.

Apparently, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will cost 1599 Yuan for the 4GB RAM model with 64GB internal storage rising to 1799 Yuan for a 6GB RAM model boasting 128GB internal memory.

Overall this looks like a promising device, but could these specs really be accurate?

If these specs are legit, and Xiaomi finally optimizes camera performance, this could be a superb device.

What is this ==> Snapdragon 66- chipset ?

Anything better than SD653 is a good replacement for redmi note 3 pro.

Btw Redmi Note 4 pro (qualcom SD625) is consider a downgrade from redmi note 3 pro.
So it is not worth to replace.
