Nokia 3310 is here, with improved design and 31 days of standby time!

Well the rumors were true once again and the iconic Nokia 3310 model will have another chance in life, to become a best selling device again.

The impressive feature phone was unveiled today in Barcelona by Nokia and HMD Global, during a very special event for the Finnish company, that confirmed their plans to return to the global markets once again.

The new 3310 measures only 115.6 x 51 x 12.8 mm and it’s made out of plastic retaining most of its predecessor’s rounded shape and silhouette. It packs a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a curved and polarized layer on top, along with a full QWERTY keyboard below, and it is available in 4 different color options:  Warm Red (Glossy), Dark Blue (Matte), Yellow (Glossy), Grey (Matte).

The iconic feature phone is also equipped with 16GB of storage, along with microSD slot compatible with microSD cards up to 32GB of memory. It runs on Series 30+ OS which is Nokia’s proprietary operating system and comes with Opera browser preinstalled for easy web browsing with GSM speeds, since it only supports GSM 900/1800 MHz networks and lacks WiFi! On the other hand however it comes with Bluetooth 3.0 compatibility, FM Radio, 3,5mm audio jack, Media Player, the awesome Snake game and an impressive 1200 mAh battery that can offer up to 31 days of stand-by, 22 hours of talking and 39 hours of FM radio fun!

It only packs  a 2MP camera on the back for just basic photo shooting but this is something normal for a feature phone that came back from the dead, with a price of just 49€!

49 Euro? Now thats a lot of money for this phone. Ouch! I was really looking forward to purchasing at least 4 of these phones, but for that price I will have to look elsewhere.

I can find the real 3310 for 3-5€ mint condition at second hand stores. Do you want 4 of those? 😀

      • February 27, 2017

I was thinking this could go for around €10 or thereabout. I will be more palatable for me at that price, but for €49, I can invest my money in better ways. Thanks for the offer though.

It’s a gimmick phone, really. It doesn’t even have 3G. This phone is designed to rip the blinded Nokia fans in my opinion and GSM will be discontinued in stages around the world really soon anyway.

Guys, if you expect to buy a Nokia, do not bother. This is not Nokia, Nokia team is dead. This is HMD Global. They bought the rights from Microsoft to make phones with the brand Nokia, they are NOT actually Nokia from before but they do have some senior nokias there. So, don’t waste your money, really. They just use the name, ringtones and etc to get that nostalgic feel to sell to customers who doesn’t know batter. There are definitely better phones for the money, out there.

They bought license to use Nokia brand from Nokia not Microsoft.

Right.. and the owner or Nokia’s mobile division is? Microsoft. The license you talked about Is just the brand Licensing. HMD got the rights to make phones with the Nokia “Brand/label” from the licensing agreement.

Who cares? We can’t deny the fact that the previous team kinda seriously got them self burned. And still at the very last breath they refused to go android and step up back in the game. They didn’t. No sir, they choose Microsoft.
This “new team” made the comeback and released this phone while announcing their latest smartphone models. Damn good strategy if you ask me, Don’t know about you but it got me excited nonetheless. Being a fan and knowing how huge they where back then. When they where the only original smartphones back then.

So basicly what i’m trying to say is, stop being a bitch about it, Nobody knows if they can survive this comeback but neither you or anyone here can confirm if the phone/smartphones are worth our money. I seriously can’t wait to try one of them sweet looking smartphones. And this device? yeah they wont sell millions but I bet your ass they’ll outsell any other device in that price/specs category

      Just saying….

“yeah they wont sell millions but I bet your ass they’ll outsell any other device in that price/specs category” Outsell in price category, I doubt so. If you’re in China or Asia, you can get an Android phone with 1GB of ram easily. Specs category, probably. Not many phone manufacturers are making phones which are not smart nowadays so the competition is light.

and FYI, my statement is not aimed towards 3310, persay, It’s towards all the new Nokia models. I did not specify a model if you’ve read properly, rather than assuming. There are still many other obvious options besides the ones offered by Nokia and that is just stating the fact. Like it or not. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, hence, the comment section.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, hence, the comment section and I didnt say anything about them failing, or won’t sell much for that matter.

I don’t really see why everyone is bitching about this phone tbh. Its not meant to outsell every other device, not really meant for the new generation. Its a very smart and fun promotional stunt.
Nostalgic users will appreciate this and this trust me. That will generate lots of hype around the brand. Making their announced smartphones even more interesting for everyone.

Its not a smartphone people, get over it!.
I would buy this sweet baby for my litte girl. Although I’ll probably be playing with it while she’s on my S6 lol..

kind of made an error in your description, you said it’s a qwerty key board while all I see is numeric… but it’s a good feature phone to have as a companion to your everyday smartphone and to revive the feeling you had when you got the 3310, back then it felt like what you feel owning your first iPhone, though i can’t help but feel like what it has to offer can already be seen in modern smartwatches from Chinese OEMs like No.1 etc, so am not entirely sure I need it since I have a smartphone that: has a sim slot, mem slot (mediocre camera, which is virtually useless), Bluetooth connectivity and is easier to carry around with/on me.
