OPPO, Vivo reportedly en route to Russia

OPPO and Vivo have both made a name for themselves in multiple emerging markets in the world. Both phone makers are known for their extravagant advertising and offline availability.

According to reports, the siblings from China might soon make it to the Russian phone market. Based on the same reports, it has been learnt that the brands will sell their devices in RussiaĀ in partnership with local carrier MTS.

The pactĀ is still in its developmental stages, we understand. What this means is that buyers in Russia might have to wait a bit before they can head out and get their hands on the camera phones of OPPO or the multimedia-first smartphones from Vivo.

Like a lot of other markets, Russia has a strong presence of Chinese phone makers. That is to say that OPPO and Vivo will certainly have to battle it out if they wish to conquer the (smartphone market of) their northern neighbour.

Meanwhile, we wait for OPPO to step the game up with the release of the much-awaited (it has near-folklore status now) OPPO Find 9.
