The reason is well known to most of us. Samsung once again has allotted all the available Snapdragon 835 stock for their Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus flagships, rumored to be unveiled on March 29. This means that all the other manufacturers that rely on this specific chipset will have to wait until April or May to have sufficient stock of Snapdragon 835 chipset to power their flagship devices.

Some other sources revealed recently that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will come with an ultra slim design, 6GB of RAM, dual cameras on its back and the latest Quick Charging technology by Qualcomm at a price tag of approximately 2,999 Yuan ($433).

Processor supply shortage comes as no surprise these days, with tens of manufacturers trying to compete with each other in their efforts to launch powerful smartphones in large quantities to cope with their demand. That’s why some other chipsets like Apple’s A10X, MediaTek’s Helio X30 and Samsung’s Exynos 8895 are suffering from supply shortage issues and they are expected to remain out of stock until the third quarter of this year!
