Meizu E2 is here with 4GB of RAM and Hi Case

After weeks of leaks and speculations, curtains finally announced theĀ Meizu E2 yesterday. This time, Meizu took a different approach with the design of the smartphone.

The most stunning feature of the phone is the use of 4 LEDs for the flash. And that’s not all, the flash is integrated in the antenna line that runs from on the top of the phone beside the camera. This is probably the first time such a design has been implemented in a smartphone.

And honestly speaking, it does not look bad at all. The phone is clad in metal, much like its siblings and follows Meizu’s design methodology to a certain extent.

When it comes to specs, the E2 is powered by the Helio P20 chipset. It will be available in, Ā 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It features a 5.5 inch 1080p display.

Gizchina News of the week

The front of the phone houses the fingerprint sensor that doubles as a home button. In the rear, there lies aĀ 13MP f/2.0 sensor with PDAF and four LED flash and for selfies you get an 8MP shooter that rests in the front. The E3 is fueled by a 3400mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, dual SIM support, and full network support.

Along with the E2, Meizu launched the “Hi Case” for the smartphone. It has a design that allows you to cover the LED flash when not in use by using a small slider above the flash. It is available in red, black, blue and green. It is priced atĀ Ā„79 (āˆ¼$11.50).

If you could activate the camera by uncovering, then that’d be quite cool (no idea though!).

Your information is incorrect. The rear camera is f/2.2

The f/2.0 is the front facing.
