Today we learn some more info regarding what we should still call the “tri-bezel-less concept phone” Elephone S8. The company now claims the S8 will be packed with a 6-inch high resolution display and a large capacity battery. Let’s now get into the details.

The said 6-inch display should indeed sport a 2K resolution (1080 x 2048), which would make it super sharp even considering the big screen size. In comparison the Xiaomi Mi Mix features a 6.4-inch display and a resolution of 1080 x 2040, thus less pixel dense.
Now as far as battery goes, the Elephone S8 is probably going to equip a big battery with a capacity of over 4000mAh, and that’s definitely needed given the large screen size and resolution. The Xiaomi Mi Mix comes with a 4400mAh but it’s probably physically harder to pack the same capacity battery on the Elephone S8’s smaller body, unless they decide to make it slightly thicker, of course.
We really hope Elephone deliver their promises as the Elephone S8 looks like a very interesting phone and if priced correctly, could really get a huge success world-wide. That assuming the rest of the phone works flawlessly.
