OnePlus CEO posts low-light photo sample of the OnePlus 5 model

I think that Pete Lau (OnePlus CEO) is hyped that his company will cooperate with DxOMark on the dual camera system of the OnePlus 5 flagship killer. That’s why he posted yesterday the first low-light photo taken from the camera of the device, just outside the OnePlus HQ, when he was returning home from work.

Note that the photo has a respectable level of noise visible in the night’s sky, but it’s pretty clear otherwise. You can even see a couple of stars shining bright, the building in the shot boasts a good amount of detail for this resolution, and some shadow lines appearing from nearby plants.

We will know everything there’s to know about the device and its dual camera system on June 20, when its official unveiling is due.

Capturing stars, with a smartphone camera ? Allow me to doubt that until third party reviews are out. Heck, some DSLRs would struggle to get such a picture.
