More details on the Nokia 2, 7, 8, 9 reveal processor configurations


A new leak from an undisclosed source has revealed the processor configurations for Nokia’s upcoming 2, 7, 8 and 9 models. The leak was reported by Nokia Power User.

Nokia is expected to unveil 7 smart phones this year. Out of which, three, Nokia 3, 5, 6 have been released. Upcoming are the 2, 7, 8, 9 models expected to launch in the second half of 2017. The Nokia 3 sports a MediaTek MT6737 processor, while the 5 and 6 sport the Snapdragon 430.

There have been leaks before that hinted towards a Nokia smart phone sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, rumored to be the Nokia 8. The Nokia 9 is the speculated flagship which will sport the Snapdragon 835 whereas 7 is speculated to sport the Snapdragon 630. Amongst all these is the Nokia 2, which is Nokia’s cheapest offering and is expected to sport either Snapdragon 212 or a MediaTek chipset.

There is no news regarding the ETA of these phones. Leaks and rumors have been floating around for weeks, so it is possible that we will get to see these phones very soon. It all depends on how HMD Global, the company manufacturing Nokia phones decides. The next tentative launch can be at IFA 2017, which is scheduled for September 1 in Berlin.
