This is good news I guess for all those Xiaomi fans who’d like to get their hands on a brand new (but more affordable) Mi Max 2. It seems that the highly successful (so far) device gets a new third variant from its manufacturer, one with 4GB RAM + 32GB of internal storage!
In case you forgot, when the Mi Max 2 was officially unveiled, Xiaomi launched it in two variants: a 4GB + 64GB variant as well as a 4GB + 128GB version. Thankfully the new variant will be unmasked on September 20 by 12 noon and would be sold exclusively on Mi.com, Mi Home and Amazon India.

Its price will be reduced obviously, at Rs 12,999 which is around $202 USD (or less in a few days I guess). In case you were wondering, there are no other differences between the 3 variants – apart from the storage capacity. This means that the new 32GB version of Mi Max 2 will be equipped with the same power efficient Snapdragon 625 SoC, along with dual SIM slots with one of the slots doubling as a microSD card slot (expandable up to 256GB). On its back side, you will find a 12MP Sony IMX386 main sensor with LED flash, along with a 5MP selfie camera up front. The Mi Max 2 comes with Android 7.1.1 out of the box and is available in matte black with a fingerprint resistant coating.
We have no official info if the specific variant will become available in other markets, but one can only hope for such a possibility. 😉

The day of the 32 GB version for main stream market is reducing. The main stream market is looking for at least 64 GB and Xiaomi should know it better because during their flash sale of Xiaomi Redmi note 4, it was 64 GB versions which were always out of stocks, the 32 GB even now are available.. Take a tip from this xiaomi
