Xiaomi Redmi 5 leaks in press render, probable launch on December 10

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 has been the subject of leaks and rumours for weeks now. The latest report shows the press render of the Redmi 5 which was posted on Slashleaks, giving us a look at the overall design and also the specs of the Redmi 5.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 seems to feature an all metal design with a full screen display with significantly thick bezels for a full screen smartphone. There are no physical navigation keys, and the fingerprint scanner lies on the back below the camera which seems to have a slight bump. The top of the phone houses the 3.5mm jack and the IR blaster. The bottom houses the micro USB charging port flanked by the speaker and microphone grills.

The spec sheet reveals pretty much everything that is there to know about the Xiaomi Redmi 5. It is reported to feature a 5.7-inch, 1440x720p display with an unknown aspect ratio, which we predict will definitely be 18:9 judging from the screen size. Powering the phone is the MSM8953 aka Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of ROM. The camera setup is a modest 12MP and 5MP on the rear and the front respectively. The phone is fueled by a 3300mAh battery and runs Android 7.1.2 with MIUI 8.5 on top.

It is expected to be unveiled on the 10th of December for 1399 Yuan. There is no word regarding the same, so watch this space for more!

And a 5.7 screen on top of that! Looks like a serious downgrade even from good ol’ Redmi 3.

It’s not bezelless. It’s not full screen. It’s just bad design. Stop trying to pretend you don’t know it authors. Specs are horrendous and design wise this is worst than even redmi 1

Something is not right here. It seems like a clickbait for another article. The spec are terrible even the micro usb, I doubt this is true. Its tottaly different then what we seen so far.
