LG K8 2018, K10 2018, K10+ 2018 and K10 α 2018 set for MWC unveiling

LG hasn’t clearly told us when to expect the successor to its flagship LG G6, but that won’t stop the company from unleashing other devices. Today ahead of its MWC appearance, the company has announced that it will be unveiling not 1, 2, 3, but 4 smartphones as part of its 2018 K series lineup at the MWC 2018 in few days time.

The company says the LG K8 2018, and all variants of the LG K10 2018 will come with flagship grade features that will bridge the gap between its G series, the V series, and its more budget-friendly, accessible mass-tier devices.

The LG K8 2018 which according to LG will deliver more advanced camera UX features for 2018 and low-light photography has been improved from the previous generation K8 with even brighter, clearer images. Favorite features such as Auto Shot, Gesture Shot, Flash for Selfie and Quick Share are carried over to the new K8 by popular demand.

The LG K8 flaunts a 5.0inch HD display with the old-fashioned aspect ration and powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB  of expandable storage. The device will be powered by a 2500mAh removable battery, but will, unfortunately, boot Android Nougat out of the box.

Other specs include an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, a rear fingerprint sensor and a full range of connectivity features including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS.

The LG K10 2018 line up is available in three different variants ( LG K10 2018, K10+ 2018 and K10 α 2018), but with identical specs. They are all made entirely of a metallic design with metal U-frame, the same 5.3-inch HD display, fingerprint sensor, 3,000mAh battery, and come powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU. Notable differences are found in the RAM, camera, and storage sizes.

The base LG K10 2018  and the K10+ 2018 highlights a 13-megapixel rear camera technology found in the flagship LG G6, PDAF,  and an 8MP front camera that supports Bokeh when shooting selfies. The K10+ offer 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option while the other variants offer 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, all expandable up to 2TB.

The LG K10 α 2018 rear and front camera has been downgraded to 8MP and 5MP respectively.

The base LG K10 will be available in same color options as the LG K8 2018: Terra Gold, Aurora Black, and Moroccan Blue, while the K10 Plus and the K10 α 2018 will get the gold and blue, and black and gold options respectively.

LG will officially announce these devices at the upcoming MWC in Barcelona and will roll out globally in key regions such as Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Pricing details will be announced later.
