Huawei Mate 20 key specs leaked, rumored to arrive in Summer

huawei mate 10 pro review

The Huawei Mate flagship series arrives towards the end of the year by tradition, so we are not currently expecting the Mate 10 successor to arrive until later in September or at worst November 2018. That, however, won’t stop the rumor mill from churning out leaks about the upcoming flagship Mate from Huawei.

A Weibo user has just leaked the first round of info on Huawei’s follow-up to the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 pro. Tipped to be unveiled at the tail-end of the year, the weibo user says Huawei would be skipping the number 11 entirely and would, therefore, launch the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 pro to succeed the Mate 10 series, just like the rumored Huawei P20.

Both devices according to the tipster could feature a 5.9-inch 2k display for the Mae 20 and a 6-inch Full HD+ display for the Mate 10 pro and would be powered by Kirin 980 chipset coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage options, while a 6 GB RAM + 256 GB storage configuration would also be available for the Mate 20 Pro. Other specs include improved battery capacities, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual rear cameras.

Specs aside, the tipster further dropped the pricing details of the upcoming devices. The 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants of Mate 20 will come with tags of 3,899 Yuan and 4499 Yuan respectively, while the Mate 20 pro with 256GB storage will go for 8,999 Yuan.

We would update you with more details as they surfaces, but do note that this is still a leak, and not an official announcement from Huawei, and should thus be taken as speculation and nothing more.
