Realme’s first smartwatch is coming to India soon – gets BIS certification

Chinese manufacturer, Realme, wants to diversify into the smartwatch market. According to reports, Realme’s first smartwatch now has India’s BIS certification. This implies that the company’s first smartwatch will be arriving pretty soon.

A  recent poster from Realme suggests that the company will be releasing smart devices like a watch and smart bands. According to Sudhanshu, Realme’s first smartwatch got the certification on January 6, 2020. For sure, this device will arrive in India. However, there is no information on a possible global launch.

Unfortunately, we do not know what to expect as there is no word on the appearance or configuration of this watch. According to the CEO of Realme India, Madhav Sheth, the company is not just a smartphone brand. He said, “don’t think of Realme as just a smartphone brand, we aim to become India ’s largest technology lifestyle brand”.

Regarding Realme’s new products, he also confirmed that IoT (Internet of Things) products will arrive in 2020. Realme’s first smartwatch/smart band will hit the market in the first half of 2020.
