Nokia 9.2 flagship with an “Oreo” quad-rear camera setup still coming, just delayed

Finnish manufacturer, Nokia, is getting set to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, Nokia 9.2. As of now, we can not say with absolute certainty that this device will be called Nokia 9.2. Nevertheless, speculations seem to favour this nomenclature. Now, a couple of renders of this device shows that it will use an “Oreo” quad-rear camera set up.

[Update] Nokia 9.2/9.3 still coming but is delayed to H2 2020

About a month after we saw high-definition renders of this smartphone, we have not heard anything about this device. However, there is a piece of good news. According to NPU, “Nokia 9.2 or Nokia 9.3 PureView is still on and HMD is still planning to bring it to market in 2020”. Nevertheless, the company will now delay the launch to late H2 2020 (the previous timeline is H1 2020). The reason for this is obvious, the coronavirus pandemic. Nokia 9.2

Judging from this renders released by BenGeskin, the Nokia 9.2 flagship has no openings on the front and the four bezels are very narrow. The back design uses the “Oreo” rear quad-camera solution instead of the Nokia 9 PureView array. Some sources claim that the Nokia 9.2 launch may be postponed to the fall of 2020 (September 2020 to November 2020).

As per its specification, this smartphone will run on the Android 10 operating system. There are reports that it will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with 8 GB RAM of RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

Nokia 9.2 also sports a P-OLED display. The screen has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 490 ppi pixel density. On the front, this device comes with a 24MP camera. On the rear, it has four cameras all 13MP. The rear cameras have features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus, etc. This smartphone comes with a 4500 mAh battery but there is no information on the fast charge capacity. For connectivity, it comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, NFC and more.

This will be my first Android Smartphone. I have been using IPhone all these years, now I want to experience Android OS. I am going with Nokia flagship because I use to use Nokia phones in the 90s and they have always impressed me with their quality.

You could be disappointed my friend. Nokia isn’t worth it anymore. I used Nokia 7 plus back in 2018 and exactly 1 year later, I started experiencing screen freezes. At a point, the screen would just become completely unresponsive till I turn off the screen and turn it back on, this happens so frequently like every 30 minutes of usage, the screen would become unresponsive!!. Another one was that they used inferior charging ports for their Nokia 7 plus products so that people would come back for repairs after 2 months of usage. They have been doing some really stupid things that are questionable. You won’t be impressed!!. Nokia can’t keep up with the competition especially when there are phones with higher specs at an affordable price.. Nokia smartphones are over priced these days with very little or nothing to offer..

I’ve not been happy with the Nokia 9 at all. Nor with the 8. I will not be getting a 3rd Nokia phone that is for sure.

Yes, some complained of screen freezing and charging port issue.
While some don’t experience this e issues. I think the new Nokia is coming up.
I am using Nokia 7 Plus right now. This is my ninth month of using it.
I have not experienced a charging port issue.

Please don’t discourage others from using Nokia phones.
The new Nokia phone is just coming up.
Screen freezing might be software issue. And they are expected to fix that this year.
For the charging port issue, it has been discovered that the usage of the USB- Type C cable that came with it might be responsible.
So people are advised to use third party cable to charge their Nokia 7 Plus phone.
Also, don’t use your phone while charging it. This is one of the causes of charging port issue. Even while using your phone while charging can affect the battery.
Any phone can have issues. For example, some people using Infinix S5 in Nigeria are complaining of factory faults.

HMD and Nokia are just new to this “competitive” and “fanboy-ing” Era in smartphone and please stop comparing Xiaomi and other shitty CCP phones, we get it their better, Nokia is competing for android One not third party OS’s

If you want to experience Android properly, go with OnePlus or Samsung, stay away from Nokia, you’ll be disappointed with the camera and the screen with it being pOLED which is LG’s crappy display tech, Pixel 2 XL anyone?

We should because I had an issue with my 8.1 where I didn’t get updates until I reset my phone and Android One is nothing special either and is a failure.
