Huawei Smartphones With Harmony OS Onboard Coming Soon

Harmony OS

According to some sources, the latest news from the supply chain said that the HMS ecosystem shows rapid growth. Due to this and because of the external environmental pressure, Huawei has begun to consider more autonomous terminal plans. When saying this, the source meant there will be Huawei smartphones running on the Harmony OS.

Harmony OS

As the report says, Huawei has not given up on the development of smartphones based on the Harmony system. And one of the main reasons for the delay in launching is that the ecosystem supports fewer apps. As you understand, the success of any operating system is correlated with the apps it offers. Just remember Windows Phone OS. It was smoother and had fewer hardware requirements for better performance. But the developers were not interested in making apps and games for this system. So it disappeared from the market. Huawei understands this and doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes of Microsoft. But as the HMS ecosystem is growing rapidly, the problem has been greatly resolved.

Huawei Regularly Hints At Harmony OS Smartphones

It is worth mentioning that at the 2020 China Informatization Conference held on August 7, Huawei’s consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong revealed that this year Huawei’s smartwatch products will also come with Harmony OS. He added that all Huawei IoT products in the future, Including PCs, tablets, and even smartphones may use Harmony OS. Moreover, Yu Chengdong has stated many times before that if they can’t use the Android system, it is very convenient for Huawei to migrate to Harmony OS. And this will take only a couple of days to fully transform from Android to their own system. In addition, Yu Chengdong stated at the IFA conference last September that if Huawei phones continue to be not allowed to use Google Service, they will consider using HMS.

Also, Yu Chengdong stated that Huawei’s HMS ecosystem is currently second only to Android and iOS, ranking among the top three in the world. With continued development, Huawei’s HMS is expected to become the most popular ecosystem in the global market in the future. Moreover, the AppGallery (application market) integrated into the ecosystem, is the third-largest apps store in the world after the App Store and Play Store.
