The second half of this year will welcome a plethora of smartphones and many will be flagships. For Xiaomi, we will have the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 for sure this year. According to reports, Xiaomi will hold a new product launch conference in August. The company will launch a new MIX series at this event and we strongly believe that it will be the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. This will welcome the return of the MIX series after three years on the sidelines. This device will come with an under-display technology which will be its major selling point. In addition to the MIX4, Xiaomi will also launch a new Xiaomi Mi 12 series at the end of the year.

Gizchina News of the week

Recall the Xiaomi Mi 11 arrived in December 2020, thus, we expect the Mi 12 to do the same. There has been a lot of leak and speculations regarding the Xiaomi Mi 12 series. We have seen leaks on the appearance, and some configuration details. Previous information shows that the Xiaomi Mi 12 will come with Qualcomm’s new-generation flagship processor. However, a new leak shows more information on the hardware of this device.

The new report from popular Weibo leakster, @i冰宇宙, shows that Qualcomm will name this chip “Snapdragon 898”. Furthermore, he claims that the Xiaomi Mi 12 will use this chip and the processor will have a three-cluster CPU design. The ultra-large core frequency is 3.09GHz, the large core frequency is 2.4GHz, and the small core frequency 1.8GHz. In addition, the chip will also adopt a new generation of Cortex-X2 design. This will bring improvements in terms of power consumption and performance.

Xiaomi Mi 12 display specification

This flagship smartphone will use a high-quality screen with under-screen camera technology. Also, this display will support LTPO adaptive refresh rate screen, which can achieve between 1 – 120Hz adaptive refresh rate adjustment.

The processor will use either Samsung or TSMC’s 4nm process. There are reports that this chip may break AnTutu’s ranking and exceed one million for the first time. The top version will use a 200MP main camera that supports a 16-pixel-in-one technology. In addition, the smartphone will also come with 120W wired fast charging and 100W wireless fast charging. This will be the first time that both wired and wireless charging will hit 100W.

At the earliest, the Xiaomi Mi 12 will arrive in December. Thus, there is still enough time for more leaks and speculations. Keep a tab with us and we will let you know when there is new information regarding this device.

Xiaomi is not helping themselves. Why are they releasing two versions of their flagships in one calendar year? Someone will buy Mi 11 Ultra and in 4 months it becomes an old phone. No serious company releases 2 versions of their flagships in one year, not Apple, not Samsung. Mi 10 Ultra was released in August 2020. In April 2021 they released Mi 11 Ultra. They are still so many in the shelves and they're releasing Mi 12. Now they're not meeting up with bug fixing because they release more phones than their staff can handle.
