Quad-Core JiaYu G4 Specifications! JiaYu Fans have their say!

A few months ago we reported that JiaYu had asked their avid fans to put forward ideas and suggestions as to what they would like to see on the JiaYu G4. Well it looks like the verdicts are in and JiaYu is listening!

While many of us are still waiting to receive our JiaYu G3 phones, or have otherwise gone on to purchase a JiaYu G3 alternative, hardcore fans have been having their say as to what they want the next generation G4 to feature.

According to reports on Chinese phone sites JiaYu have compiled the information received from fans and have created a β€˜wish list’ specification which may or may not be found on the next generation JiaYu phone.

If the fans have their way the JiaYu G4 is likely to receive a 4.7 inch display with at least a resolution of 1280 x 720, a quad core MediaTek MTK6589 CPU, 2GB RAM and a 13 mega-pixel rear camera.

Fans go on to say that a more attractive design is expected for the G4 along with an affordable price tag.

Other possible highlights which made the JiaYu G4 specification sheet are 8GB of built in memory, SD card reader, 3000mAh battery, Gorilla glass display, Bluetooth, Wifi,GPS,HDMI out and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean!

While it is likely the JiaYu G4 will see some of these features, JiaYu have yet to make an official announcement about the next gen phone.

Personally I hope to see a JiaYu phone which arrives on time and features a quad-core CPU from the likes of Samsung, Qualcomm or Nvidia along with support for international cell phone carriers.

What do you guys wish for from the JiaYu G4?

Problem is the next quadcore from mediatek use cortex A7, if jiayu use quadcore from qualcomm S4 this thing could be a big killer or not !!!
Xiaomi M2 still the best to me …

Why nobody mentions the camera performance? Quad-core, memory! The leader must not have a 13 MPix camera, a less-pixel one is okay whereas the sensor must be high quality with backlight and little noise. Dual SIM is also very important.

Whats the point in taking feed back from customer when they can’t even get the g3 out on time. could this feedback be use to distraction g3 buyer from Jiayu failure (g3) ?

mt 6589 is good but mt 6599 would be even better . I know more cores doesn’t mean more speed ( see amd bulldozer ) but I think the mt 6599 has more of a chance to compete with the s4 pro ( in the htc butterfly j) and the new Samsung exynos 5 processors

minimum of 16 GB of internal storage (ROM), 32GB would be better. microSD card not always the best. At least offer it as an option. micro SD is good as well.

China phones always offer 4GB or less of internal storage.
Silver color or two tone colors. Already too many black phones. But no pink please!
White should be a pearl white.

Maybe a more western sounding brand name like Jambalaya

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jambalaya

Should be thin. less than 8mm

Shame on Jiayu , First you make mass production of G3 then think about G4

As Diana Ross sang “I’m Still Waiting” for my G3 that is. The most important thing for Jia Yu is to market the phone correctly, many customers including myself are still waiting for the G3. Steps to make a good marketing strategy.

1, Design a top quality phone with desirable features that does not fall apart
2, Get the phone licensed before you announce it to the world
3, Make lots of phones so that customers can actually buy one
4, Send sample phones to qualified reviewers (Like Andi)
5, Make utube video’s, announce phone to press and public.
6, Sell many phones to happy customers

Well, wtf is that race for thinner phones? When you cut your finger with the world thinnest phone marketologists will definitely bowl how fabulous thicker phones are ’cause it is “much more convenient to hold them in the hand”. In thinner vs. thicker I’d select one with bigger battery.

Newman N2 is devilishly good but it has no dual SIM. Its price tag of $300 equals to, come on guys, breathe in, the cost of 20 MB (twenty megabyte) of GPRS traffic in roaming that charge charming Ukrainian mobile operators. The local SIM of the host country in addition to home SIM is merely a way of survivance

Why is everyone going for the MIUI OS design? I, for one, like the original Android 4.0/4.1 design better =\

If they were paid 1$ each time a G3 order was canceled by “tired of waiting” buyers, that company would be rich as hell.

Maybe that’s their plan for the G4 ?!?
