iOcean X7: another 5-inch 1080 quad-core from China

iOcean are a relatively young (established in 2008) and quite unknown domestic phone producer, who are preparing to go head to head with the big boys this year with the 1080, quad-core iOcean X7.

The iOcean X7 is still in the preliminary stages of development, with the only hint at a possible design being the simple 2D promotional image shown here. If this is the shape the X7 is going for it looks as though it will be very similar to the JiaYu G3 but on a larger scale.

Gizchina News of the week

We do have some idea of the specification of the X7 though, which seems to follow the MTK 5-inch formula many manufacturers are following, so a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, quad-core MTK6589 CPU and a 13 mega-pixel rear camera.

iOcean currently have a number of phones already on same ranging from a 5.3-inch 999 Yuan model called the S5, to a smaller 4-inch phone for just 699 Yuan.

Head over to the iOcean website for details of their current phones.
