JiaYu’s community is full of die-hard smartphone fans eager to get their hands on the latest JiaYu model. JiaYu know this and make the effort to pay back fans by shipping out pre-production G4 samples to beta testers.
Unfortunately the images here don’t confirm or deny is this a 2GB version of the JiaYu G4 or if this is still the youth model which we have previously seen, but as JiaYu are shipping out these test samples they must be gearing up to launch one version of this exciting Chinese phone.
What these JiaYu G4 review photos do show us is that the packaging has changed and features a new textured finish and metallic green JiaYu logo.
The inside slides out, much like VHS, to reveal the a black JiaYu G4 with a protective film covering the screen to help prevent damage during shipping.
Lifting the phone out reveals the single 1850mAh battery, while the compartment on the right opens to reveal the USB cable and mains charger.

This pre-production version of the G4 is an all black model and features a silver steel band around the phone. Previous prototypes showed only the white version of the phone with a silver band, with the black getting an anodised black band. We hope that production models will get the black band as it looks much more sleek and stealthy.
The plastic rear easily un-clips to reveal the dual-sim compartments, micro SD card slot and 1850mAh battery, and 13 mega-pixel rear camera.
The front of the G4 we can see the 4.7-inch 720HD display complete with super narrow bezels which measure just under 3mm (2.85mm to be exact).
The overall width of the phone is narrow too at just 64mm and a thickness of only 8.2mm.
Overall the JiaYu G4 is looking every bit as good as we hoped it would and we can’t wait to see what beta testers make of the quad-core JiaYu G4 once they have finished reviewing the phone.
The JiaYu G4 is expected to launch next money with prices starting at just 999 Yuan ($160). It features a quad-core MT6589 processor, 1-2GB RAM, 1850-3000mAh battery, 13 megapixel rear camera and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS.

Norman Zakaria, you can launch your money to them right now and wait for monthes. It will be awailible in May or June of even later, no chances to see it in April

Hi, when it will be launched in India, can I pre-book it.
I think at this point its safe to presume that it will take atleast 2 months for Jiayu to get the final product out and by that i mean the premium one. I dont think they will be able to launch their “youth” model by April 10th or 15th either, as they had once claimed.

Any informations of 3G frequencies?
Many people want to know phone frequencies.
I hope that You are working more for finding information of all Chinese phones 3G frequences.
Example in Finland we have 3G 2100Mhz only in cities and all other areas 900Mhz. It is difficult to find phone with right frequencies.

I Have to say…this phone is a beauty. What you also don’t really get from the photos is just how slim this is. At 8.2mm it is slimmer than both the GS2 and the Nexus 4
to me I would love to know the battery life small and the battery life great. If that small lasts for at least 2 days as that of my G3 (which lasts for 2 and a half days) choose the small also for weight and thickness of the phone!
