Sony CN3 5-inch Mediatek phone to cost less than $320?


Rumours of a Mediatek equipped Sony Android smartphone have been doing the rounds for sometime, now new reports give us some details of the new phone.

According to sources in Taiwan, the low-cost Sony CN3 will be sport a 1.2Ghz MT6589 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 5-inch 1280 x 720 display and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The most exciting piece of news though is the prices of the CN3 which is alleged to be less than 2000 Yuan ($320).

The Sony CN3 is likely to support dual SIM, Micro SD card and have either an 8 or 13 mega-pixel rear sensor (natually a Sony unit).

There is no release date scheduled yet, but the Sony CN3 is expected to launch in just a few monte and will likely be styled on the current Xperia line.

    This is awesome news as I was holding out to see what big brand would make a mediatek powered dual sim phone. I’ll definitely order this one, should it really exist.

    Actually Motorola used mtk6577 @ 1.2ghz in a model sold in Brazil. Motorola razr d3, gorilla glass, nfc and bsi camera
