Chinese search giant, Baidu have launched a cloud connected wristband device which can monitor health plus more.

Manufactured by Chinese start-up Codoon, the wearable fits on the user’s wrist where it can be used to monitor excercise, calories consumption, sleep habits, distance traveled and even remind the wearer of upcoming events. All the information is sent from the wristband via your smartphone to Baidu’s cloud servers that it can sync with exercise apps, diet information and a calendar.
500 prototypes are currently available for earlier adopters to buy at just 299 Yuan ($48), the price will increase to 399 Yuan once full production begins.

Oh yes, I wanted a Jawbone UP, but it costs 129€. For a wristband (with some nice features) the price tag is too high.
All I want is a cheap wristband with pedometer and sleep cycle alarm clock. So I was hoping for a next generation smartwatch from apple or samsung or maybe xiaomi.
But if this takes too long, I would buy this Baidu wristband.
