After an extremely long wait, JiaYu have finally given us a Jiayu G4 Advanced release date of 6th July!
It’s been a long long wait, but finally the top-of-the-range JiaYu G4 Advanced has been put in to production and will be available for order to Chinese customers on 6th July (This Saturday).
Pre-orders will be accepted from 11:30 am on the 6th July for both the G4 Advanced and G4 Youth, both of which will feature the faster MT6589T Turbo processor and support OTG.

The JiaYu G4 Advanced features a 1.5Ghz MT6589T processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB built-in memory, support for 64GB SD cards, 4.7-inch 720p display, and 13 mega-pixel camera and will cost 1299 Yuan ($211 Chinese mainland price) plus an additional 30 Yuan for shipping (in mainland China).
The Youth model will also feature the updated Turbo processor and OTG support but just 1GB RAM and 4GB of built-in memory. Both phones will be available in black or white thick bodied options with a 3000mAh battery.
We expect the JiaYu G4 Advanced will sell out in just minutes due to the extremely high demand and the fact only 5000 units will be available at launch! International resellers will likely get stock in the next batch of production.

Pre-ordering seems a lottery as you never know if your chosen vendor is actually in line to receive some of the batch (within a reasonable timeframe) 🙂
In China customers will be ordering direct from JiaYu so that shouldn’t be an issue. I wouldnt recommend pre-order the Advanced from an International reseller yet.

I doubt it, would imagine that it’s just the upgraded processor and memory.

Yes Fang, the reason I dislike this phone is no button lights …I really like everything, but no mark on buttons 🙁
It is difficult to find button mark because of black surface in black model.
Wish button lights or very visible button paint on button.

I suppose realistically for the rest of us it will be end of July at best, but more likely early August. This announcement makes waiting easier though.
Perhaps we will see resellers bumping up the currently advertised price of $299 due to the high demand. Spemall now have it at that price, yesterday they priced it at $270.
In a couple of weeks, a Gizchina G4 Advanced recommended sellers list would prove most useful.
Spemall say that will have it before July 20..
But if there is preorders all phones is going to gone in a few hours !
Yeah, I’m going to hold off until the black version get released and they become plentiful. Pre-order now and the wait will start to eat into that 45 day paypal protection.
I haven’t seen anything negative said about etotalk or spemall so I’m probably going to order from one of those two.

I have also buy from Etotalk is a good seller I have ever try their sevice of the a phone you know sent it back and the the sent it back to me with a small cost!

Andi, what about the comparison of Zopo C2(980) with G4 etc.? You have promissed it last week if I remember. I am still thinking about new version of Zopo because of the bigger screen but I would like to have better comparison… :-/

Sadly no backlights, Some people told me they dont have lights like xiaomi models,another one told me it is problem in manufacturing process of OGS screen and no lights,
that is the reason I dislike G4 black version, I only like black but sadly buttons cannot see,
it would be better they paint button marks on screen to see,

I’m not sure, I think we need Mr Wolff to stop beating around the bush and put his cards on the table about the missing backlights.
God damn. I just received my iOcean X7 Elite today and this comes up. Now I wish I waited a week or two more before buying the iOcean X7 Elite.
On a side note, my iOcean X7 Elite is working perfectly and I’m in the midst of doing a video review that I will upload to youtube soon.
Do you believe the Jiayu G4 Advanced to be a better phone than the iOcean X7 Elite ?
I dunno. I have had experience with Jiayu and even with their delays, they have the best built quality phone in the chinese market. I can tell you right now that my iOcean X7 Elite is awesome and has a ton a features n is an excellent phone with OTG, Miracast(untested) and MHL(untested) and other great stuff. I’m loving it but the build quality is not as good as Jiayu. The screen is too sensitive, the back cover doesnt fit properly, the vibration is too soft, the sound is not loud and overall feels cheap. I feel that Jiayu would have ironed out all these issues before launch which is why they delay so much. Too bad my sister couldn’t wait any longer and asked me for a phone by this week which is why I cancelled my Jiayu G4 order and ordered the iOcean X7 Elite instead. Don’t get me wrong, the phone is awesome as hell but there are minor issues which are mainly build quality issues that I do not like.

Good an inquiry camera of x7 iocean simple version is 8 megapixels? The advanced version of the camera is 13 megapixels? Esque there are sites that say that the 2 models feature 13-megapixel camera
