DaKele 3 is yet another Xiaomi Mi3 rival priced at $320!

Xiaomi will be taking on ZTE and the Nvidia Tegra 4 powered ZTE U998S and the DaKele with rumoured Snapdragon 800 processor in this years 1999 Yuan price wars!

A few years ago a small Android phone company no one had ever heard of launched a dual-core Android phone with 1GB RAM and 4-inch display. The phone was an amazing success thanks to the 1999 Yuan price tag and amazing marketing. That phone of course was the original Xiaomi M1.

Xiaomi have continued to target the 1999 Yuan price point with the Xiaomi Mi2 last year (and the updated Xiaomi Mi2S) and this year with the Mi3, but rather than being the only one to offer high-end hardware at aftordable prices they are going to have some compeition!

Gizchina News of the week

The first major rival comes from ZTE. The U998S will have a 5-inch display and Tegra 4 CPU! Good stuff! The next rival comes from lesser known DaKele!

The Dakele 3 (the third phone from this Chinese brand) is also rumoured to costs 1999 Yuan ($320) but is purported to have a 5.5-inch 1080 panel, 4000mAh battery and either a Snapdragon 800 chipset or Nvidia Tegra 4.

All we have to go on for now is the above leaked render and a suggest launch time of October 2013!

We think it’s going to be an exciting next few months!

I’m not hopeful of ever seeing this phone. I had been waiting for the dakele 2, but none of the usual online stores have ever stocked it, only ever seen it on aliexpress for upwards of 300US-500US. I’d much rather spend my money on something with more support and better availability.

I really doubt they can hit this price (unless it is the “youth” version or something). The S4/T4 has a good premium above the equivalent MTK chip, so you’d expect it to be at least $100+ or more.
