16GB Meizu MX3 goes on sale in China from $407

Meizu have teamed up with Chinese E-commerce site Jingdong mall to launch the entry-level Meizu MX3 today.

The Meizu MX3 launch began at 10am today Beijing time, however Meizu fans hoping to get their hands on the 8-core Chinese super phone early will have to settle for the base model with only 16GB of built-in memory and no NFC support.

Gizchina News of the week

The lack of NFC on the 16GB MX3 is a real let down especially for those users who plan to add an Oppo N-Lens or Sony QX system at a later date, but the phone does have the same powerful 8-core Samsung CPU, 2GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel camera with F2.0 aperture and Sony battery as the rest of the MX3 range.

If you are after a larger memory option and want NFC then the 32/64 and 128GB versions of the new Meizu will go on sale later this month.

The lack of external storage IS the real letdown.

What use is good display, camera or music player if you can’t put anything worth in this?

You can wait for the 32GB and the 64GB variants.

    Hi everyone..
i need help deciding which phone to get in the next few weeks.
i need a good camera, quality display, solid build and at least 16GB storage.
i had my eyes set on the umix2 then i discovered zopo 980 has a better camera but in a review i watched, Andy was able to bend the phone with little pressure and that was the deal breaker for me…so pls tell me which phone i should get or wait for in the coming weeks..
    thanks
