Xiaomi are preparing new colour options for their flagship Android smartphone and popular smart TV.
With April just around the corner and the Xiaomi festival only a few weeks away, rumours and leaks of new Xiaomi products have been posted from various sources. Most of these ‘reports’ we must take with a large handful of salt washed down with a pint or two of fiery ginger beer, but sometimes the source is just too dependable.

The latest ‘leak’ comes from Xiaomi themselves and is simply a pictures of the Xiaomi Mi3 flagship phone in gold in front of a red Xiaomi smart TV. It is quite common practice for limited edition colour options to become available, but we honestly hope we will see more than new colors launched from the Beijing phone maker this month! A 2nd generation Xiaomi TV would be nice, and an update on the current Mi3 wouldn’t go a miss either!
Low cost RedMi TV would be interesting. Other than that, I really like the new gold color for the Mi3. I think metallic colors like the silver and gold look great on the Mi3’s design. They should’ve just skipped glossy plastics and made all the color options more metallic looking.
