Mobile phone security is becoming an increasingly important subject, one which Meizu’s Jack Wong seems to be taking seriously with the latest Meizu MX4 revelation.

Meizu’s Jack Wong has long been known to take to the company forums and spill the beans on this company’s new device. Last evening was no different at JW chatted with forum members about the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner on the Meizu MX4.

According to the forum post the fingerprint scanner chosen for the Meizu MX4 is from an unknown foreign manufacturer and will support fingerprint identification for unlocking the phone, is is also speculated that different user profiles can also be activated this way too.

The unconfirmed prices are believed to start from 1999 Yuan for the Meizu MX4 mini, 2499 Yuan for the ‘standard’ Meizu MX4 and topping out at 2999 Yuan for the flagship Meizu MX4 “ultimate”.

We are still waiting on more Meizu specification details and waiting on if Meizu have decided to finally change their screen ratio to a more mainstream 16:9.
