Oppo N3 to feature VOOC rapid charging support

VOOC rapid charging is one of the most exciting features the Oppo Find 7 has to offer. It really is the world’s fastest charging phone, needing only 30 minutes to charge the battery to 75%. And this is not just a marketing claim, it is a proven fact. Now Oppo is working on the N3, which is scheduled for a launch in late October and will be the direct successor of the very first camera centric Oppo phone, the N1 which we all got to know and love back last year.

According to sources, the Oppo N3 will make use of Oppo’s VOOC fast charging technology as well. The special charger needed to make use of VOOC is looking a little different this time though. It will be smaller and features a USB port, meaning the charging cable can be removed. This wasn’t possible with the Oppo Find 7 VOOC charger. Something that remains to be seen is, if in fact the battery of the Oppo N3 can be replaced by the user, as it is possible with the Oppo Find 7. This feature really sets the Find 7 apart from all the other flagships and would be exciting to be found in the Oppo N3 once again.

Gizchina News of the week

So far Oppo has announced the Oppo N3 to come with two different “chassis-flavors”, being stainless steel and aluminum-lithium alloy. The first one will offer increased toughness, while the latter one will make up for a very lightweight phone. Further rumors suggest a 1080p 5.9-inch screen just like the predecessor, as well as 3GB of RAM and the all-new Snapdragon 805 SoC, which would make the Oppo N3 the most powerful phone available. The content of truth in this statement seems questionable unfortunately, as the N-series never have been supposed to be flagships. Would Oppo really change this? Next month will tell us for sure!

It wouldn’t be the most powerful because the note 4 would have the same specs but a better screen.
