Despite the criticism the OnePlus 2 has faced, there are a huge number of buyers willing to buy the phone. Indeed, if not anything else, the OnePlus 2 does shine on the price to specifications ratio.

Colette France has teamed with the company to offer the OnePlus 2 invite-free. Of course it’ll be limited in number; expect the inventory to clear up very soon after it goes on sale 11th August via Colette’s Paris stores. Yes, offline!

OnePlus said on the blog post about the development:

Design has always been important to us — it’s one of the reasons OnePlus was founded, to create beautifully crafted devices. That’s why Colette, with a reputation made from their idiosyncratic shop windows and impeccable fashion curation, felt like the perfect temporary home for the OnePlus 2.

Gizchina News of the week

Colette and/or OnePlus have not yet revealed the actual number of units that will be on sale, saying that it’ll be a ‘very limited’ number of OnePlus 2’s.

Those without access to Colette Paris will either have to wait until they can grab an invite (and then get their units shipped via the OnePlus store 11th Aug. onward), or purchase through one of the many resellers offering the phone.

The more I see this device passing by. The more I get interested in getting it myself. Although that wouldn”t be with the intention to keep it as my daily driver. It will have to keep up and perhaps beat my Ulefone Be Touch 2 and Xiaomi Mi Note (those are my daily drivers)

How is the Be Touch 2?

Well to be honest, I like it. The only problem is the battery draining a bit too fast but I’m sure this is fixable by updating the software, I tried with the Elephone rom and I managed to get better battery life. I switched back to the original ROM though. Camera is also quite good, I prefer the Camera app of Xiaomi (lighting control) but who knows I can get it on the Be Touch 2. That would make it awesome for me. Fingerprint scanner is also working great. It recognizes it slightly less than an iPhone or Samsung would but once you get a good feeling for it, it works almost everytime. I would recommend the phone to other people but I would mention the battery life. It’s my 3rd week with the UTouch 2 and I’m sure there are more to come. Also, there is an update coming later this month so who knows what that might bring. If you want to know something specific, feel free to ask 😀
