5.5-inch Oukitel U7 getting a Pro makeover

oukitel u7 pro

Oukitel are giving their U7 a makeover to create the Oukitel U7 Pro.

The Oukitel U7 has been on sale now for a few months and can easily be bought for just $70 or less online, but with a Mediatek MT6582 chipset at its heart it is starting to show its age and itā€™s time to give it a Pro update.

Gizchina News of the week

Oukitel have been coy with the details of the Oukitel U7 Pro but it doesn’t take much of an imaginationĀ to figure out that they plan to run a newer quad-core Mediatek chipset in the phone which would add 64bit architecture to the phone (meaning easier Android 5.1 updates) and native LTE (if we are correct).

All that Oukitel are telling us is that the phone will feature a 5.5-inch display, 1.3Ghz chipset and lightweight polycarbonate body. The Pro promises to remain cost-effective too so expect pricing of well below $100 at launch.

I really start to like Oukitel they make beautiful devices and quite sturdy judging by their K4000 videos.

Yeah, they have that policy to make well build devices, and it’s not that common for newbes in this industry… They remind me jiayu from a couple years ago!

Yea i do not recommend, it is fast and all that but I’ve used mine for like a month now and it suddenly doesnt do anything, no reactions like its got no power at all.
And their software is highly unprofessional, in the latest ota update they installed adware that pops up an app installation every time you unlock the phone (like hola launcher etc.) And if youre looking for a sturdy phone don’t buy this one, very low quality build, my friend got the same one and he dropped it from like 30cm, it fell horizontaly and the screen cracked, very bad build quality.

I bought Oukitel U7 for $49,99 on flash sale and in general, it is ok device. But, it has some major problem. Earpiece is incredibly quiet, even on max volume. I don’t know is it only with my device, or every oukitel U7 has useless earpiece.

Still, you can’t expect too much quality for 50$!

Yes, but earpiece is essential for phone calls. They should make it at least usable, I don’t expect high quality.

Phone is in general okay, even better than you would expect for $50. But earpiece is useless in loud environment and that is big fail since phone calls are essential function on mobile phone.

That’s definitely not nice, unless you clearly explain the problem to the one who’s buying it… :-/

Of course I will explain the problem to the one who’s buying it. Somebody will need a backup smartphone for e-mail or something similar and this one is good for that. šŸ™‚

I think he’s implicitly asking to someone who has the same phone if he has the same problem, he doesn’t look like “omg i spent almost 50 bucks and the phone is not perfect, that’s a fraud!”

Exactly. šŸ™‚ This phone in general is okay, but main function of the phone is almost unusable. Ok, I will sell it to someone. I bought more than 20 chinese phones until now and I sell it after some time of use.
