The launch of Qiku’s latest smartphone has just taken place and it’s a budget release rather than a flagship model.
Although there is still time for Qiku to announce a Snapdragon 820 powered phone today, the first new device from the start up is the F4, a 599 Yuan smartphone designed with features to rival the Xiaomi Redmi range.
Qiku have gone for a plastic bodied phone with options for Magic White, Pink Gold, Blue Lake or Streamer Gold colour options and a screen size of 5-inch (1280 x 720).
Processing comes courtesy of an octacore Mediatek MT6753 chipset, and there are options for either a 2GB+16GB model or 3GB+32GB version. Both phones support SD cards.
Camera specs are a little above average for the price with a from 5 mega-pixel camera taking care of selfies while the rear 13 mega-pixel ISOCell camera gets fast phase detection auto focus.
Other features include a rear fingerprint scanner, LTE, VoLTE and dual SIM support. The basic version of the phone costs 599 Yuan while the 3GB RAM variant will be on sale for 799 Yuan.
