Just two days ago we speculated about new UMI phone model in the making with some sort of extra layer “protection”. All the speculations came through today with the announcement of fresh new addition to the UMI lineup.
New phone will be following the recent trend of naming the phones after big european cities so after all those Paris, Prague or Vienna models we have UMI London here ! And the phone will have double protection thanks to the unique DG Twin-Shield technology developed by UMI consisting of dual T2X-1 toughened glass and 3M double coated foam tape protecting the front panel.

The hardware inside is going to be much less exciting, because the phone is going to feature 5-inch SHARP IPS display with HD resolution, quad-core MT6580 processor clocked at 1,3 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of storage, rear 8 Mpix shooter with Sony IMX149 sensor, front 2 Mpix camera, alluminum alloy body, 2050 mAh battery capacity and Android 6.0.

If it’s lighter and supports 3G, I may think about it. But I find some alternatives like UHANS A101, it’s the nicest budget phone I’ve ever seen.
