Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE goes official, packs Snapdragon 650 SoC

We now have a new version of the ZenPad 3S 10 inch tablet, one that finally supports LTE connectivity. The device is called Asus Z500KL (or better known as ZenPad 3S 10 LTE) and it’s powered by a Snapdragon 650 SoC. It packs a 9.7-inch display with 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution, and offers 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory.

On the back we have an 8MP main camera along with a 5MP selfie camera in front. It has fairly large dimensions (242.3 x 164.2 x 6.75) but it’s also very slim as you can imagine, and weighs only 490 grams.

The ZenPad 3S 10 LTE also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and packs in a 7,800mAh battery that can – according to Asus- offer more than 16 hours of battery life. One interesting fact is that the new tablet comes with a Z stylus, an accesory that can support up to 1024 pressure levels, offering almost 150 hours of battery life.

Be prepared, its price isn’t low: almost 405$ but it includes a protective cover and a custom designed stand.

Looks like the first tablet with a QC SoC (or I forgot something).
Nice, but it lacks a cover + keyboard IMHO.

Quite a few have used snapdragon chipsets. The quite superb Sony Xperia Z4 tablet used an SD810.

This tablet looks pretty good – it’s mtk based wifi brethren was fairly well received – it remains to be seen how good this is. I am looking for a new tablet myself, this may be on the list (I was hoping for a MI Pad 3 announcement, which hasn’t happened). So this will be on my list, along with the replacement for the Galaxy Tab S2.
