Meizu E2 will sell for $247

Meizu’s E2 smartphone will sell for $247 in China once it goes on sale there later this month.

Meizu’s range of budget phones is set to receive a new addition in the coming weeks. According to sources at the company, Meizu plans to release the Meizu E2, a new smartphone with updated camera features, a slightly redesign and powered by the trusty old Mediatek Helio P10 chipset.

Gizchina News of the week

The E2 is set to be another budget device that lives under the Meilan range of phones designed to compete with the Redmi range and as such the specs are compatible to similar priced phones.

What we learn today is the phone will feature a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display with 2.5D glass and support fast charging, the 1699 Yuan price point will be for the 32GB version of the phone.

In earlier leaks this month it has been hinted that the Meizu E2 will have a repositioned rear camera module and may even be the first Meizu phone to support a front LED flash.

Mid-range specs for too much money! You can get many other Smartphones with a Snapdragon 650 for less money. Meizu is slowly dying…

Yup, the fairer example is the 2 identical phones from ulefone (power 2) and Oukitel (k6000 plus) that even though we know they are not the fairest of the companies those 2 phones are pretty much about excellent bang for your money… If they had gone for an X27 or X25 or even an X20 my money would be pouring all over them

This must be a joke. Seems xiaomi phones are handed out for free

The Redmi Pro 2, apparently soon to be launched, will be about this price or less, so I don’t see how this Meizu phone can compete with that. Even the Redmi Note 4 is way less money than this price of $247.
