Alcatel launches its Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone in India


Google and its partners, if you haven’t heard unleashed the first set of smartphones powered by Android Oreo (Go Edition)” at the MWC last Month in Barcelona, Spain’, and the Alcatel X1 is one of the first few devices that was announced running Android Oreo (Go Edition) out of the box. The Alcatel 1X has now landed in the Indian Market, making it the first Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone to enter the Indian smartphones market.

With a plethora of color options to choose from, the Alcatel 1X Android Oreo (Go edition) will hit the shelves soon at a price tag that will be made known prior to its arrival in the stores. For the uninformed, the Android Oreo Go Edition is a light-weight version of Android Oreo specifically meant for entry-level smartphones having 1GB RAM or less.

Announced alongside the Alcatel 5 and 3 series smartphones at the MWC in Barcelona, the device features a 5.34-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 480×960 pixels and powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6739 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage, expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card.

The device is fueled by a 2460mAh battery and comes with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, NFC, USB OTG and a micro USB port. The device features a 13-megapixel with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash.
