Yes, lovers of the compact size types of smartphones got something to be excited about. Samsung is about to bring back the long-neglected mini variant of its flagship s series, according to latest information making the rounds.

As reported by Fonearena, a device suspected to be the Samsung Galaxy S9 mini has been found on the Geekbech database with a few basic details.

Identified with model number SM-G8750, the alleged Galaxy S9 mini will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660  Octa-Core SoC, with 4GB of RAM and will boot Android 8.0 Oreo with Experience UI out of the box.  Geekbench further reveals the devil recorded 1619 in the Single-Core and 5955 in the Multi-Core tests.

No other specifications were given, but there are speculations that the device might have the same Infinity Display as the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inch Galaxy Note 8, but with a smaller 5 – 4-inch diameter, and like we speculated earlier, there are only two possible directions for this device. It’ll either be a literal Galaxy S9 Mini, or another traditional Samsung Mini device with lower specifications.

Other details including price and release date are scarce at the moment, but we hope to see more leaks exposed in the days to follow.
