Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, seems to be struggling with the availability of its recent smartphones. The first official sale of the Xiaomi Mi 9 lasted for only 53 seconds and Xiaomi explained that this smartphone considers both online and offline sales that’s why the online sale sold out swiftly. Yesterday, Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, asked Lin Bin (Xiaomi’s President) to go and personally supervise the production capacity of Xiaomi Mi 9. Today, the first official sale of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE and Mi 9 Transparent Version also didn’t last long.
To this end, Lei Jun announced this afternoon (March 1) that he will open a weekend sales on Xiaomi’s official website on Saturday (March 2) at 12 noon and 20:00 where the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi Note 7 will be sold. The company is doing this to meet up with the demand for these devices. The second official sale of the Mi 9 will still take place on March 5 as scheduled. For those who are eager to get any of these smartphones, they may want to try tomorrow.
Xiaomi has promised that it will make over a million units of the Xiaomi Mi 9 available by the end of March. Although this company has been around for about 10 years and has been listed in the Hong Kong stock exchange, it still has some financial troubles and it has to be technical with its stockings.
