OPPO has just recently launched the new Reno series of smartphones in China. The OPPO Reno, unlike the Realme brand, will be offering flagship grade devices at affordable price points. While we wait for the first device under the new series to debut later in April, OPPO has been quite busy teasing and hyping the device ahead of its planned launch.

Hot on the heels of the report that says the Reno will come in Fog Green, Pink Mist, Night Black, and Nebula Purple color options, Oppo VP Brian Shen has released a number of sample images allegedly taken using the Reno cameras. Specifically, OPPO is teasing the device 48MP rear camera 10x zoom ability that is expected to be a major highlight of the device.

The first two images below according to the VP are unedited shots taken using the 48MP main camera at the rear, while others including images of  George Washington at Mount Rushmore, the Sphinx at Giza, Christ the Redeemer and others are images from the wide camera with an overlay from the zoom camera, showing just how much of a difference it makes.

These image samples are pretty stunning, with good details, however, there is no way we can verify the authenticity of these camera samples, so we advise you to take this with the proverbial pinch of salt. Huawei was recently caught parading some DSLR image samples as part of a teaser campaign for the upcoming P30 Pro’s camera with periscope zoom lens, though the firm has since issued a disclaimer claiming it never knew the media will take those samples to be true shots fro the Huawei P30 Pro.

The company VP a while ago hinted that the OPPO Reno will arrive as the first OPPO smartphone to get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform under the hood, although the device was seen recently on Singapore certification database with the Snapdragon 710 chipset and not the high-end the Snapdragon 855 chipset.

The device will go official on April 10.
