Today, Xiaomi announced that on May 2, it will launch the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G phone through Swiss operator Sunrise. Thus, this handset will become one of the first smartphones to let consumers experience 5G services.
As said, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G version is one of the first 5G commercial smartphones in the world, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and Snapdragon X50 5G baseband. At the same time, Xiaomi has also demonstrated the 5G video call through the European operator Orange, and stressed that this is a ‘true 5G’ and not a ‘fake 5G’.
Besides the processor upgrade from Snapdragon 845 to Snapdragon 855, baseband upgrade from X20 LTE to X50 5G, battery capacity from 3200mAh to 3800mAh, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G version is the same as the regular version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3.
Thus, it adopts slide full-screen design, a magnetic sliding structure, a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a screen ratio of up to 93.4%. The chin is shortened by 4.46mm. The phone’s thickness is 8.46mm and it weighs 218g.
At the same time, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is the world’s first phone with a 10GB large memory. As said, there is a built-in 3200mAh battery, supporting 10W wireless fast charge. The volume is 27% larger; there is an exclusive AI button; Xiao Ai can identify 7 dialects, and it sports a rear-mounted fingerprint recognition module.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is also equipped with a rear AI dual camera and a front 24MP soft light camera. The main camera supports 960-frame slow-motion photography, handheld super night scene, optical zoom, four-axis OIS, etc. It scores 108 points in DxOMark.
At this year’s MWC conference, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G version was announced for the European market, priced at 599 euros.
