Samsung’s Galaxy A50 was announced back at MWC 2019 and it is already available in a few regions including Europe and India. Now, it seems Samsung is readying for its launch in the US. And this time, the hint comes from one of the unlikely sources – Samsung Pay app.
A new update spotted by XDA for Samsung Pay shows the app now supports US A50 which is presumed to be the Galaxy A50. Now, the handset’s arrival in the US has already been hinted by its certifications at the Wi-Fi Alliance along with other A series models such as the Galaxy A20 and A70. Do note that there’s no official launch date as of yet for these devices.
The Galaxy A50 is Samsung’s budget handset that gives good bang for the buck. It boasts an Infinity-U display with Full-HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it boasts an Exynos 9610 SoC based on the 10nm process with the option of 4GB/6GB RAM and storage options of 64GB/128GB. One of its key highlights is the triple camera setup on the rear. It is constituted by a 25MP primary shooter with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP f/2.2 sensor and a 5MP depth sensor while the selfie shooter is also 25MP. The A series phone has a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charge and it has already received a price cut in India.
