With the arrival of the new year, it’s time to review the status of the Android updates of each of the brands. One of the most interesting, especially for the current situation with the US government is Huawei, who has already send EMUI 10 to a dozen of its devices.
With the newcomer 2020, we review what are the smartphones of Huawei that have not yet received the operating system (or at least not in its stable final version) and that they should receive the download and installation notification via OTA along these first weeks of the new year, according to the information provided by the manufacturer.
This time frame makes it clear that from now on it is the turn of other members of the Huawei catalog launched almost two years ago as the Huawei P20 and Mate 10 range.

Although some of these phones, such as the Huawei P20 and Mate 10 can already test EMUI 10 in beta, we have not yet been able to install the final stable update on any of the phones. Taking a look at the past, since October of this year there are many phones of the Chinese manufacturer that have already received their corresponding ration of the latest version of Android. The first Huawei phones to receive EMUI 10 were the members of the P30 range, while the Mate 30 have reached the market with the software installed running Android AOSP.
I got the mate 20 X international version. No update for this??? Do I have to regret to buy this phone?
I got the P30 Pro but until now it’s still running EMUi 9.1. when are we going to get EMUI 10? I’m beginning to regret that I chose this phone over Samsung and LG. Lito from Toronto.
I’m in Halifax and I feel your pain. Unfortunately, we are subject to the carriers here in Canada. It’s only the unlocked versions that have received the update to EMUI/Android 10. I’ve read in the xda forums that the updates are just now arriving for the P30 Pro in Sweden now, via their respective carriers, so hopefully we’re not too far behind.
Keep your fingers crossed it happens in the next few weeks.

I’m in Malaysia. Mine is Mate 20 X. Updated EMUI 10.0 for about a month already. I think it’s depend on which country you are in.
I’m guessing others with the same phone can go into the settings on the HiCare app and change the country of origin to Malaysia and get the update. I did that with my P20 Pro last round of updates – changing it to Singapore and was immediately updated.
it is the problem of the phone carrier of your country not releasing the software, not Huawei. Also your carrier will put some addition apps to the OS.
