PlayStation 5 DevKit leaks again – with its controllers this time

Presently, Sony has been very apprehensive with information on its upcoming PlayStation 5 console. PS5 enthusiasts are practically scrapping for information that are not forthcoming. However, we have a piece of information but from a rather unlikely source. Following the previous images of Sony’s next-generation PS5 development kit, there are now more images of the DevKit. This time with its controllers.

The report claims that a cleaner doing some after-hours cleanup snapped a couple of images and posted them on Facebook. Interestingly, the post uses the tag “Please do not share this”. However, for the internet, that’s like asking us to actually share. The images come with the message

“Not sure its the right place. But…My first cleaning of prototype 1 of PS5. Yes my job is a cleaner occasionally at U……..Please do not share this”

Gizchina News of the week

The images show that the PlayStation 5 DevKit retains the weird V-shape as it is in the first leak. It also comes with a blue text spelling out some all-important networking details. The controller once again looks very similar to the PlayStation 4’s current DualShock pad.

On the front (left), there is a Blu-ray drive port and a USB Type-C interface. Like we said earlier, the right chassis displays debugging information on an LCD screen.

The PS5 expected to hit store shelves at the end of 2020 and it is very unlikely that it will resemble what you see above. This is just a machine for developers to produce their titles.

PlayStation 5 available information

From available information available, the Sony PS5 series will use AMD custom-grade chips with a frequency of up to 3.2GHz. In addition, it will also have a built-in 2TB SSD high-speed solid-state hard disk, which supports functions such as ray tracing and is backward compatible with PS4 and PS4 Pro games. According to reports, Sony will exhibit its next-generation console at CES 2020. However, this has not been officially confirmed.
