Sony is doing quite well with its Active Noise Cancelling Headset (WH-1000XM3) and Noise Reduction Bean (WF-1000XM3). These devices are currently on sale and their performance is not bad. This week, Sony’s new noise-canceling headset appeared on the database of the Brazilian communications management department. From the pictures alone, it is really similar to the previous generation. Fortunately, the listing also shows the new device user guide. Compared to the previous generation, the main features of Sony’s new headset include:

- Rated power 2W (the previous generation is 3W);
- If maximum noise reduction is turned on, and the battery life is 40 hours (the previous generation was 36 hours);
- Supports Alexa’s voice assistant and another digital assistant (the previous generation requires activation key).
Undoubtedly, Bluetooth 5.0 and the reduction of power consumption are extremely important improvements for Sony’s new noise-canceling headset. This means that this new device will not only improve signal transmission but also battery life. As of now, there is no other information regarding this headset. Just picked off a pair of these. None of the four incremental improvements would be meaningful to me, nor, I suspect, anyone else. They do what they do incredibly well, altho the “silver” color is sort of a light, dusty beige grey. I listen to classical music, one important feature of which is, it frequently becomes very SOFT, almost silent, and a silent background is vital for full enjoyment.

Bro…. are you serious? Its only for 200usd and its pretty good sounding headphone. Almost on par with those few thousands dollars headphone. Sony signature sound is more mids than highs. Althought you can add some treble at the app. The frequency response is very good. Surely can satisfy bass heads too. Details all well reproduced. Lastly, you cant go wrong with these. Quickly get one from amazon!
Noise cancelling good. It cancels mids and lows better. For highs like ppl talking, it wont cancel very well when music is not playing. When music is playing, you can hear nothing from outside. Just make sure your volume is set to confort listening.
