Huawei Baron 5000 5G Chip Appears In SUV ARCFOX α-T

Huawei does not build cars. But it will still play a very important role in the process of reforming the automobile industry. On April 22, the first mass-produced SUV ARCFOX α-T, a high-end brand of BAIC New Energy, officially opened its pre-sale. The new car is positioned as a pure electric SUV with a pre-sale price of 280,000 yuan ($39,524). The company calls it a ‘5G smart electric car’. The new car has a battery life of 653km and an α-Pilot intelligent driving system. Plus, it carries the MH5000 T-BOX based on Huawei’s new generation 5G chip. If you remember, the Baron 5000 is the latest 5G baseband of Huawei HiSilicon and supports NSA and SA networking.

I’d drive that. Looks good. Some hints of Lamborghini URUS, Seat CUPRA Ateca, etc.

When I was in Shanghai I saw a Qiantu Motors showroom with a K50 init. It’s nice to see Chinese products no longer just being cheap plastic knock-offs, but there’s legit exciting stuff happening as well.
