OnePlus 8 India pre-orders go live tonight

OnePlus 8 Pro

The OnePlus 8 series launched two weeks back and the price of Indian variants received a good response when it was revealed a while back. Now, OnePlus has tweeted that the pre-orders for the OnePlus 8 series will begin starting tonight at 12AM.

Recently, the company has been under the radar for various issues including their $1000 price tag in Europe and USA. Additionally, a surprise problem that has crept up recently on the OnePlus forums is the green tint issue on the Oneplus 8 Pro. Nevertheless, the company has hit the right spot when it comes to Indian pricing as it is significantly lower than the European models.

Going into the details, OnePlus has tweeted that the pre-orders will begin on Amazon India’s website. The tweet doesn’t mention anything about its own e-store as the poster has an Amazon logo in it, which makes us believe that the pre-orders might be limited to Amazon as of now. The tweet also mentioned about getting rewarded if preceded with pre-ordering the device. This means that some complimentary rewards could be bundled with the pre-order models of the OnePlus 8 series. The series is expected to start shipping next month after the situation of the current lockdown improves.

If we recall, the specifications of the OnePlus 8 is the best the company has ever made for a base model of the series. The model has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with 5G connectivity and also a curved display. The OnePlus 8 starts at Rs.41,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant. The other storage variants 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants cost Rs 44,999 and Rs 49,999, respectively.
