Detachable hooks for better grip
An interesting feature of the TWS earbuds is an external magnetic hook which the company says can be detached when not needed from the earpiece and kept on the case. The hook is claimed to provide comfort and grip during intense workouts.
The teaser page shows the box contents which has the charging case, pair of TWS earbuds, magnetic ear hooks, USB-C cable, user manual and silicone extra earplugs. The earbuds have a ubiquitous design like just another TWS these days but after attaching the hooks it transforms to new sport earbuds.
Amazfit Powerbuds: Features
The charging case has an Amazfit logo on the top and has rounded corners for better portability. There is a light indicator at the front and the charging port should be on the back.
In terms of sound, Amazfit says the Powerbuds TWS will have a composite diaphragm to deliver HD sound. This when combined with other modes like Thru mode for knowing what’s happening around, Motion beat mode to enhance the bass, and real-time heart rate notifications promise to give a seamless experience to users.
A highlight of all, the Powerbuds TWS has a dedicated PPG heart rate sensor and gives real-time voice notifications when the heartbeat during a workout session exceeds the preset value. It also has an ENC dual-mic noise reduction for clearer audio.
Other features include touch controls for play/pause music, skip tracks, hands-free calling, triggering voice assistants, auto-wear detection, IP55 dust and water resistance.
Amazfit says the TWS will have 8hrs of playback on each bud and a total of 24hrs with the charging case if the volume is set at 50% and ENC disabled. Coming in Matte Black with red accents and White finish, the Amazfit Powerbuds can last up to 3hrs on a 15-min charge. Let’s wait for Official pricing on August 6th.
