Gizchina News of the week

Lenovo Legion Y90 is a beast in terms of hardware

The recently spotted listing also confirms some additional tidbits about the handset. For instance, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC as many other 2022 flagship smartphones. However, this one comes with dual fans to keep the performance running smoothly without throttling. As previously leaked, the handset will be paired with 18 GB of RAM and 1 TB of Internal Storage. This is a computer-like set of specifications. Considering the current Android scene, it’s almost impossible to fill up this RAM unless you’re trying hard to do so. In the same way, 1 TB provides enough room for anything you want to install or store in a smartphone.

In addition to these impressive specs, other details also complete the package and have been leaked before.

Lenovo Legion Y90 will come with a massive 6.92-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. Lenovo is choosing Full HD+ over Quad-HD which ensures extra performance for the GPU. Moreover, the panel has a 720 Hz touch sampling rate and can output HDR content. A company employee shared a screenshot showing that the chipset only got up to 38.9 ºC after half an hour of 120 fps gaming.

Besides this more impressive variant, other versions are coming for all pocket sizes. TENAA’s listing suggests variants with 8 GB, 10 GB, 12 GB, and 16 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, there will be 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage versions. The battery is quite big with 5,300 mAh. The entire package makes the phone quite heavy with 252 grams. But that’s understandable when you consider everything.
