All major smartphone makers have understood that designing only smartphones will bury their business. So they have begun making other products as well. Plus, if they have a working business model and customer base, it’s easier to sell products from other categories. At least they design, produce, and sell wearables, such as headphones and smartwatches. Motorola is no exception. It has already managed to release a couple of smartwatches. They are the Moto Watch 360 and the Moto Watch 100. But whatever Moto does, they do not perform well. Today, 9to5Google reported that Best Buy Canada had made the Moto Watch 70 product page live in advance.
Moto Watch 70 Smartwatch Selling Points And Design
What may disappoint Moto 360 owners is that the Moto Watch 70 has a square-face design similar to the Apple Watch. However, it comes with various sports tracking functions and health monitoring functions.
Gizchina News of the week
The Moto Watch 70 will offer 23 sports modes. It will be compatible with Android and iOS systems. Also, the watch will have a battery life of up to 14 hours. Due to the fast charging option, it will be fully charged in 60 minutes. The watch will come with GPS and a 1.69-inch LCD color screen with a resolution of 240 x 280.
The chassis uses zinc alloy, while the straps are made of silicone. The watch is IP67 waterproof. Plus, it has dust resistance. The Moto Watch 70 has a heart rate sensor but no EKG recording support. Among the health monitoring functions, we can also mention temperature measurement, sleep tracking, etc.
The Best Buy listing says the watch doesn’t have cellular connectivity, NFC compatibility, or voice assistant support. Basically, it’s an entry-level smartwatch with minimal features. The listing price of the Moto Watch 70 is 99 Canadian dollars. So can we say this is an Apple Watch replica coming our way from a top brand?
