After many months of rumors and leaks, Huawei will release the next-gen P-series of flagship smartphones in March. The Huawei P60 has been the talk of the town not long ago. We mean, we already know too much about the forthcoming lineup. What’s more interesting, there have been many renders contradicting each other. However, the latest renders seem to be final.
New design
As we can see, the Huawei P60 series renders abandoned the P50’s Vientiane-style double-ring design elements. The new design comes with a big golden circle ring that is eye-catching.
The entire series will include four models. Apart from the traditional vanilla variant, the P60E, and the P60 Pro, there will also be a Huawei P60 Ultra version. As the name implies, it will come with the company’s latest innovations. We think it will have a major breakthrough in imaging.
Huawei P60 key specs
In terms of rumored features, the Huawei P60 Pro should sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (4G). The latter will be paired with the LPDDR5X memory and UFS4.0 storage. There have been some concerns as Qualcomm won’t manage to supply a sufficient amount of chips to the Chinese firm. But Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amo told investors: “Demand in the handset industry continues to decline. We now expect elevated channel inventory levels to continue at least through the first half of 2023.”

Qualcomm also said on the earnings call that it does not expect its current licenses to export 4G, Wi-Fi, and other chips to Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei to be affected by the rules.
Well, another highlight is the 6.6-inch 2K OLED screen. It will be supplied by BOE. In terms of imaging, the new phone is expected to come with the IMX888 outsole main camera. The latter supports variable aperture. The built-in 5000mAh battery will support 100W wired + 50W wireless fast charging solutions.
The Huawei P60 series will come with an IP68 waterproof rating, infrared, and satellite communication support. Of course, all models in the lineup will run HarmonyOS 3.1 out of the box.
